I have always had a fascination with Spain, ever since I was a young girl and my family went there for a summer holiday. Since that first trip, I had been there numerous times, but I did not move there until I was in my 30s. My husband accepted a work promotion that had us moving to Tenerife, which was perfectly fine with me. Though I had not been there before, I was able to find out a lot about it because of a Tenerife blog I had found online. I was able to look at some really great pictures and find out a lot about the new area that we would be living in.
Another great thing about this blog is that I was able to look at properties that were for sale. This helped me out so much because of the way it is organized, so I was able to find exactly what I wanted very easily. When I showed my husband a five bedroom house that has four bathrooms in it, he was as surprised as I was about the price. It was definitely a lot lower than we would have paid for something similar back home, which made me fall in love with Tenerife even more.
After he placed an offer on the house and it was accepted, the kids and I looked at the blog to find out as much as we could before moving there. They were as enthralled as I was over all of the activities. Anything a person can want to do is available, from swimming and golf to music festivals, history re-enactments, great restaurants, amazing sea activities, and so much more. I was even able to find out about the schooling system there, and I was glad to see that I would be able to enroll them into an English speaking school since their Spanish is not too good yet. This move is like coming home!
